Among all the reasons to love Jaisalmer, my favorites are watching the sunset over sand dunes, the incredible architectural heritage and interesting Rajasthani culture. In this article, I’m sharing my experiences of the best of Jaisalmer with helpful travel tips.
Delhi is famous for its magnificent monuments. However, Delhi today is much more than just its historic monuments; it’s a major cultural hotspot in India. With a river (Yamuna) flowing through the city, expansive green forests/ parks, great museums, a potpourri of people and cultures, food and shopping avenues, Delhi has something for everyone. This article is an effort to provide clues to travellers on the best way to explore Delhi in 3 days.
At the fag end of our European sojourn in 2018, we decided to spend two days in Amsterdam, the city where canals weave a web of magic. With the North Sea flanking its north, the Amstel river flowing through the city, and 165 canals crisscrossing the whole city, it felt like water, water, and water everywhere! It hardly felt like a city, rather it seemed like a big garden with curated buildings all around.
Paris is indeed charming, and a very romantic city. Its beautiful cityscape, classy buildings, lovely boulevards and river Seine make it a truly lovable city. It’s also called the city of light. My 2016 trip was short, but quite memorable.
Very different from the cities of central Thailand and islands of southern Thailand, its north has to offer an amazing array of serene views and cultural experiences. On our first trip to Thailand, we experienced everything; however, the most unique experience was in Chiang Mai.
We had a wonderful time in Italy in 2018. We visited Rome, Pisa, Florence, Siena, Venice and Milan. Each of these places is unique, and I don’t like to compare places. However, if there is one place that I would definitely go back, it is Florence.
Udaipur is so many things to so many people. For some, it’s the magnificent palaces, or the opulent hotels, and for many others, it’s the lakes. However, for me it is the subtle ambiance that Udaipur is. It’s like a beautiful poem, a feeling, an old-world charm that fills my heart with joy, things that one doesn’t generally associate with cities. There are so many memorable experiences from Udaipur, that it’s difficult to pick a few. But let me share the ones very close to my heart.
